Lunch Menus

Our school lunches are currently sandwich lunches only, for the foreseeable future. The price of the sandwich lunch offer will be £2.20. Children who are entitled to free school meals or those entitled to an Infant Free School Meal (Reception, Year One and Year Two) will receive a free sandwich lunch, should parents choose for them to do so.

You will need to order your child’s lunch online, via your parentpay account.

Every lunch must be ordered, even if your child is entitled to a free lunch. Please note that it is imperative that you order your child’s lunches by 10.30am Thursday, for the following week, as the sandwiches are being made off-site. There will be no capacity to provide a sandwich lunch for anyone who has not ordered one.

A sandwich lunch will consist of: a choice of sandwich and four other items.

Please note that many food items will be homemade and will adhere to the Healthy Schools Food Standards, and so they will be low in sugar, salt and fat.

As we will no longer be making food on site, we will not be offering a break time snack service, from September 2019.

Universal Free School Meals/Free School Meals

All children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are now eligible for Free School Meals.  In order for your child to benefit from the choice available, an order must be placed.

Parents who are entitled to free school meals but who choose for their children not to take them are encouraged to apply for the funding anyway. If the meal is not taken, the school can still claim the money which can then be used to buy other school resources. If you are entitled to free school meals, please consider applying.

If you are unsure about your eligibility, the office staff will be happy to find out for you. Please call into the office and ask.

Parents who are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits should qualify for free school meals:

  • Income support
  • Job seekers allowance – Income based
  • Employment and Support allowance – Income related
  • Support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income of less than £16,190.
