Welcome to St Catherine's CE Primary School
St. Catherine’s is truly a special school, and it is a great privilege to serve as headteacher. We nurture every aspect of child development, promoting high academic standards while fostering social and emotional skills—truly embodying our commitment as a ‘Heartsmart’ school.
We are delighted to share that 97% of our Year 1 pupils achieved the expected standard in the KS1 Phonics Screening Check this year, well above the national average. This outstanding outcome reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of both our children and staff in developing strong early reading skills, providing a firm foundation for future learning.
'Pupils and parents say lots of positive things about this school. They particularly like the friendly, approachable staff. Adults lead by example and pupils behave well. The school’s motto of ‘we learn together, using our heads and hearts’ comes across clearly. Pupils like their school. They feel safe and secure throughout the day.'
