Lunch Menus and Free School Meals

Our Catering team from ABM offer a wide range of menu options, please see the pdf attached below for the full menu.

The price of the school lunch offer is £2.30. Children who are entitled to free school meals or those entitled to an Infant Free School Meal (Reception, Year One and Year Two) will receive a free lunch, should parents choose for them to do so.

You will need to order your child’s lunch online, via your ParentPay account.

Every lunch must be ordered, even if your child is entitled to a free lunch.

Please note that it is imperative that you order your child’s lunches by midnight on Thursday, for the following week.

Please note that many food items will be homemade and will adhere to the Healthy Schools Food Standards, and so they will be low in sugar, salt and fat.

Universal Free School Meals/Free School Meals

All children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are now eligible for Free School Meals.  In order for your child to benefit from the choice available, an order must be placed.

Parents who are entitled to free school meals but who choose for their children not to take them are encouraged to apply for the funding anyway. If the meal is not taken, the school can still claim the money which can then be used to buy other school resources. If you are entitled to free school meals, please consider applying.

If you are unsure about your eligibility, the office staff will be happy to find out for you. Please call into the office and ask.

Free School Meals

Are you Eligible?

You may be eligible for free school meals if your child attends a state school, and you must be receiving one or more of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Support under part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act, 1999
  • Child Tax Credit, and your annual income is less than £16,190
  • Guaranteed Pension Credit
  • Income-based Employment and Support Allowance
  • Working Tax Credit run-on
  • Universal Credit, and your annual household income is £7,400 per annum (£616 per month) or less after tax, and not including any benefits.
  •

If your child is currently receiving free school meals, and the above criteria no longer apply, your child’s eligibility is protected, and they will continue to receive free school meals until the end of the Universal Credit Roll Out.

The Government has currently scheduled no earlier than July 2023 for the protection period to end. This could be longer and will depend on your child’s current year group.

Please submit an online application via this Citizen’s Portal to register your details with us so that we can keep in touch with any updates. We are unable to add any further siblings when you are no longer eligible under the benefit related criteria, however all children in Key Stage 1 (reception, year 1 and year r2) will receive a universal infant free school meal regardless of your circumstances.
