Photographs - What have we been learning?

World Book Day: we all dressed as a word and shared our new vocabulary. We shared books with Year 4 too.

We love to explore our school! From developing our physical skills walking safely up and down the stairs, to learning about maps and location with our aerial photographs and orienteering maps.

We have been in school for 100 days! Year 5 helped us celebrate with activities and games. We also looked at different ways to represent 100.

We learned about different animals in the jungle and how they move. We used our physical skills, observation and imagination to try to move like them.

Reading, Writing and Maths are a part of every day!

Food Tasting: We tasted different foods and used some great vocabulary (and facial expressions) to describe them!

There are so many ways that we work together with our friends. We can explore, explain, design, develop, create and construct while we develop our vocabulary, communication and co-operation skills.

We love forest school and our 'mud kitchen'. It allows us to explore the natural world, observe changes and work with our friends to solve problems and be creative.

We planted some strawberry and spider plants. We used our maths skills to see how many of each plant and how many altogether - we are learning to add up!

Linked to our book 'The Tale of A Naughty Little Rabbit' we met some rabbits.  We had to use good listening skills and self-regulation to make sure that the rabbits felt safe.  We used our observational and descriptive skills too.

In our inter-house competition we worked with Year 6 to build the tallest tower that we could. We had to use our listening and communication skills, sharing ideas and following instructions.
