School Closure - Remote Learning
Friday 9th January 2026- Remote Learning Activities
Good Morning Year 6!
We hope that you are well this morning and are keeping warm.
We might not be in school today, but our usual Friday learning tasks will continue online. We’ve set work for you today on SATs Companion, which you use each week for your homework.
https://app.satscompanion.com/login
When you log in to SATs Companion, you will see the following tasks set for you:
- A practice Arithmetic paper, revising all of your key calculation skills
- A Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar practice paper
- A Reading Comprehension activity all about the oceans
Just like in school, you could set yourself a timer for the practice papers, or you can work through them at your own pace. Do whatever works best for you. You can complete all of the work online, but just as you do with homework activities, if you'd like to jot things down in your homework books or on a piece of paper to help you work, please do so.
You might like to complete one activity, then have a break, then complete another activity and have a longer break for lunch, before completing the final activity in the afternoon.
Have a great day, and if it’s safe to do so, try and enjoy the snow.
We look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday!
Mr. Medcalf and Miss. Arnold
