Reminder of this weeks events
Mon 28 Mar 2022On Wednesday 30th March there is a SATs meeting for year 6 parents, this will take place in school at 9.00am. For anyone unable to attend, the presentation will be available on the website the same day. If you do have any questions, you can speak to the teachers at parent's evening.
On Friday 1st April, we are holding a non-uniform day in school to raise money and support the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. There are thousands of people currently fleeing their homes to seek shelter from the ongoing war. Global charities are working to help as many children, families and people as possible. For our non-uniform day, we would like children to dress in yellow and blue, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, to show solidarity. Donations can be made on your ParentPay account.
On Friday 1st April we are looking forward to seeing the children's wonderful entries for the Easter Egg decorating competition. These will be displayed in the school library so that we can see all the creative ideas.

In 2022, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Book Day – with the message for all children ‘you are a reader‘! It will be filled with lots of exciting, celebratory ways to promote reading for pleasure on World Book Day, and all-year round. We will be celebrating World Book Day on the Thursday 3rd March this year.
Children are invited to dress as a character from one of their favourite books and bring in their favourite book to share during the course of the day. We look forward to seeing the usual array of amazingly creative costumes! Any questions, please don't hesitate to talk to class teachers. Book vouchers will be given out. These can be used in many high street stores or at the school’s book fair.
Book Fair
This year, our annual book fair will take place on the week of World Book Day. Books will be on sale after school, from Tuesday 1st March to Friday 4th March. The fair will be open from 3.15pm to 3.45pm each day. More details will follow regarding the arrangements. The commission from the fair is always used to buy new books for the school library or classrooms. Your support of this project is very much appreciated. Thank you.
